Mr. Hamilton joined the Somerset Health Care Team in 2006. Prior to
this Jim worked in senior leadership roles for single and
multi-specialty groups, large integrated health systems and single
and multi-hospital community/religious-based systems.
In addition he has had
extensive experience in private and hospital-owned physician
practice consulting. Organizations Jim has worked with include Fort
Wayne Orthopaedics (Fort Wayne, IN), Luther Hospital/Midelfort
Clinic - Mayo Health System (Eau Claire WI), Memorial Health System
(South Bend, IN), United Memorial Health System – Spectrum
(Greenville, MI), Parkview Health System (Fort Wayne, IN) and
Provena Health (Greater Chicago and Illinois Regions).
Jim’s areas of
expertise include physician governance and best practice operations
for hospital/health system-owned physician practices, physician
practice and physician network assessments, turnaround services for
financially troubled physician practices or hospital-based physician
networks, interim management services, complete implementation of
operational and quality improvement processes for the physician
office practice, implementation of Accreditation Association for
Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) standards for hospital-based
physician practices, as well as extensive experience in occupational
medicine and urgent care services.
Other services provided
by Jim include information system selection and implementation,
customer service and management training, innovation and changes for
the physician practice, including advanced/open access
implementation, practice acquisitions and divestiture, new practice
setup and complete facility/office design for the physician office
practice.
Jim’s educational
background includes a BS degree in biology and chemistry with
technical training and management experience in medical laboratory
technology. He has a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with a
major in finance from St. Francis University in Fort Wayne, Indiana
with post-graduate work in health care studies from Yale University
School of Management and University of Pennsylvania Wharton School
of Business.
Jim is a member of the
Medical Group Management Association and is a Certified Medical
Practice Executive (CMPE). He is a Fellow of the American College of
Medical Practice Executives (FACMPE). Jim is a member of the
American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) as well as the
American Society for Quality (ASQ) – Healthcare Division. In
addition Jim has been an adjunct faculty member for Indiana Wesleyan
University and Cardinal Stritch University where he taught graduate
and undergraduate studies in information technology, business
research, organizational behavior and human resources.

Dale is a Sales/Business Development Consultant on Somerset’s Health
Care Team. An experienced sales executive, Dale joined Somerset with
over 20 years of experience transforming health care through
successful implementation and use of operational, financial and
clinical systems. He has served in a variety of executive sales
positions focused on hospital, clinic and physician management
solutions, including EHR, Practice Management and ePrescribing. Dale
brings to Somerset a vast knowledge of the health care industry as
well as a proven track record of achieving success through great
client relationships. He received his B.A. from Gettysburg College
in Business Administration.

Reggie is a consultant in Somerset’s Health Care Team. Reggie has
worked in the health care industry for more than 25 years in varying
leadership roles for both hospital and physician networks. Reggie’s
management career began when she served as the Director of
Cardiovascular/Neurological Services for Mount Carmel Health, an
Ohio based health system. For five years Reggie worked as the Vice
President of Operations for Ambulatory Management Services, a
physician practice management and consulting division of Trinity
Health. Reggie has an extensive background in physician network
operations, including practice acquisition, network start-up,
physician compensation, practice and network operations, financial
management, revenue cycle performance and assessment, budget and
proforma creation, physician governance and practice/network
financial turnaround. Day-to-day operations, revenue cycle
performance and network financial turnaround are of special interest
to Reggie, and she has provided extensive client work in these areas
throughout the United States. Reggie was instrumental to the
start-up and growth of an Ohio-based physician network that now
employs upwards of 125 physicians. In addition to her extensive
background and knowledge of physician practice and network
consulting, Reggie and two of her Somerset colleagues hold a
provisional patent for a practice/network financial and managerial
reporting model.

Mary is a supervisor in the Information Solutions Team and Health
Care Team at Somerset. She is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and
has several years of experience in customer service, computer and
accounting related positions. Mary brings more than 14 years of
hands-on experience in the health products, construction and retail
products fields. Previously, she has managed and maintained computer
networks, supervised product orders and customer service and had
direct responsibility for all aspects of bookkeeping. Mary consults
with clients regarding their accounting software needs, including
selection, installation, implementation and training. Mary graduated
from Ivy Tech State College with a degree in Computer Science and
has completed additional course work.

Charlie is a consultant with Somerset’s Health Care Team. Prior to
joining Somerset, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of
Parkview Health in Fort Wayne, Indiana and now serves as President
Emeritus of Parkview. From 1975 to 1996, Charlie’s career was in
California where he participated in merging a 300-bed nonprofit
hospital with a 400-bed district hospital into Mills-Peninsula
Health Services. From there he was one of the four key CEOs that
created California Health System through a merger of four California
hospitals, which was later merged into Sutter Health. With these
many years of experience in the health care industry, Charlie’s
areas of expertise include strategic assessment, strategic
visioning, human resource assessment, communication of strategic and
operational imperatives, mediation and facilitation. Charlie is a
graduate of Emory & Henry College in Virginia and received a Master
of Hospital Administration from Washington University Medical School
in Missouri. He serves on the boards of directors of the Indiana
Hospital & Health Association, Fort Wayne/Allen County Economic
Development Alliance, Northeast Indiana Regional Marketing
Partnership and the University of St. Francis in Fort Wayne. Charlie
is a member of the American Hospital Association where he serves as
a member of the AHA Regional Policy Board representing Indiana. He
is also a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives
and a member of the Greater Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce.
David

David is a consultant in the Health Care
Team of Somerset CPAs. He has been a successful leader for many
years in the health care industry. Not only has he led new medical
organizations through the development and building process, but he
has also turned around troubled medical organizations, helping them
to become successful, highly competitive entities. Additionally,
David has worked with both administrators and physician leaders,
creating and directing high performance teams to achieve success
through strong leadership techniques, financial discipline and
organizational reform/restructure. David received his B.A. from the
University of Colorado and an MBA from National University in San
Diego, California. He also received top honors from the U.S. Army
Transportation Officers Basic and Advanced Courses and Department of
Defense Comptrollership School. For his work while Executive
Director of Saint Alphonsus Physician Services, Inc., David won the
Qualis Award and Blue Cross Quality Award.
