Profile
Steve is a principal in Somerset's
Health Care Team, which focuses on providing consulting, tax and accounting services for physician groups and hospital systems. Steve initiated our
Ancillary Services Group that facilitates the feasibility, organization, funding and set up of operations of ambulatory surgery centers, medical office buildings and associated ancillaries (physical therapy, imaging, DME, urgent care, etc.). He is a frequent speaker on the business of health care at conferences around the country.
Steve was named to the Indianapolis Business Journal’s “Who’s Who Behind the
Scenes in Health Care” list in 2003. In 2006, Steve served as an
Industry Partner Advisor to the Health Care Advisory Board for their
"Innovation and the Outmigration of Care" publication. In 2008, he
was recognized as one of the "127 People to Know in the ASC Industry" by
Becker's ASC Review.

Education
Stephen graduated from Southern College in Tennessee in 1988 with a Bachelor of Business Administration - Accounting and received the Ralph M. Davidson Senior Award in Accounting.
Memberships/Community Involvement
Stephen is an active member of several accounting and health care professional organizations--American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Indiana CPA Society, Medical Group Management Association, Indiana Medical Group Management Association, Federation of Ambulatory Surgical Association, Indiana Federation of Ambulatory Surgical Association and the BONES Society. Steve has been active in the Penrod
Society as a Board Member and Treasurer. He has also been active in Hamilton Southeastern Youth Sports. Steve is a past board member of the Beacon Society and Dance Kaleidoscope. He is a 1995 graduate of the SKL Opportunity Indianapolis program.
